Environmentalists looking to stop the Tennessee Gas Company pipeline expansion through North Jersey won a victory last week when an appellate court said state officials should reconsider the project. The appellate court sided with environmental groups in a ruling issued last week that invalidated an exemption the gas company used to get approval for the controversial project as a 'routine upgrade.' The appellate court judges said the project should go back to the state Department of Environmental Protection for reconsideration.
